The Glass Installation Associate is a full‑time role based in the Greater Richmond Region. This position involves installing commercial glass and aluminum systems, including windows, doors, curtain walls, and storefronts, according to project specifications and safety standards. Daily tasks include measuring and preparing openings, handling and setting glass panels, using hand and power tools, assisting with fabrication and hardware installation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
The associate will work as part of a field crew, follow instructions from supervisors, read basic construction drawings, and coordinate with other trades on active job sites. The role also includes adhering to all company safety policies, participating in safety meetings, and reporting any issues or hazards promptly.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans, measurements, and installation instructions.
- Comfort working with hand and power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and lifting equipment in a commercial construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, ensuring precise alignment, sealing, and finishing of glass and aluminum products.
- Reliable teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, crew members, and site partners.
- Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of PPE and adherence to company and site safety protocols.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver glass and materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in glass installation, glazing, or commercial construction is preferred but not required; on‑the‑job training may be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license with dependable transportation to job sites in the Greater Richmond Region.
