Senior Chiller Technician — Richmond, VA
A national provider of temporary and portable HVAC and chiller solutions is hiring a Senior Chiller Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair large‑tonnage cooling equipment in the field. This is a hands‑on, repair‑focused role for a technician who can diagnose and fix chillers — not just run preventative maintenance.
What You'll Do- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large‑tonnage chillers and HVAC equipment in the field
- Perform startups, shutdowns, and load‑based performance checks
- Respond to service calls and resolve issues to root cause with minimal downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and control sequences
- Document work accurately and communicate clearly with the customer and dispatch
- 5–7 years of hands‑on experience with large‑tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment
- Proven experience troubleshooting AND repairing chillers — not just preventative maintenance
- Strong electrical, refrigeration, and controls diagnostic skills
- EPA Universal certification
- Valid driver's license and clean‑to‑acceptable MVR
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
Location: Richmond, VA |
Pay: $35–$53 / hour (DOE) |
Experience: 5–7 years
