Commercial Construction Pipefitter – Kodiak

Pay Range: $30-$40/hr

Kodiak is hiring experienced Commercial Pipe fitters who know piping systems, can work from drawings, and take pride in installing work safely and correctly.

A Day in the Life
  • Read plans, drawings, and specifications to determine piping layouts and installation sequences
  • Lay out and mark pipe routes, connections, supports, and penetrations
  • Cut, thread, groove, braze, solder, and assemble piping
  • Install valves, fittings, and piping systems using steel, iron, brass, copper, and plastic
  • Use pipe cutters, threading machines, band saws, reciprocating saws, torches, and other trade tools
  • Install and connect commercial piping systems according to drawings and specifications
  • Pressure test piping systems and troubleshoot leaks
  • Identify field obstructions and make sound installation decisions
  • Coordinate piping installations with other trades
  • Direct crews to complete work safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
  • Follow all Kodiak and OSHA safety requirements
What You Bring
  • 4+ years of commercial pipe fitting experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and piping drawings
  • Strong knowledge of commercial piping installation methods
  • Experience working with multiple piping materials and joining methods
  • Ability to lay out and install piping accurately
  • Ability to lead crews and keep work moving safely and efficiently
  • Strong troubleshooting and field decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Safety-first mindset and ability to work effectively with other trades
