We serve federal, state, and municipal governments as well as industrial, commercial, and recreational customers throughout Virginia and in eastern North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland.
Sydnor Hydro is looking for a motivated Mechanic’s Helper to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in water and wastewater system installations and service. This is an on‑site position in Richmond, VA.
What you’ll do:- Assist with water and wastewater system installations, repairs, and service work
- Work alongside experienced technicians to learn industry best practices
- Support equipment setup, testing, and troubleshooting
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Some experience in plumbing or electrical work is preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:00-4:30 and rotating emergency on-call
- $16-20/hour
- Pay will depend on education, experience, skills, and location. The posted range reflects our current expectations but may change.
