Onsite Service Technician

Richmond, VA Pay Rate: $18.75–$26.44/hour
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Duration: 11 months
We are seeking a dependable Onsite Service Technician to provide equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support. This position requires strong electro-mechanical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently at customer locations.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment.
- Respond to service calls and resolve issues within required service levels.
- Use electrical and mechanical knowledge to diagnose equipment problems.
- Maintain equipment and supply inventories.
- Keep customers informed about equipment status and availability.
- Provide excellent customer service and serve as the primary onsite contact.
- Complete service calls independently and accurately.
- Provide basic equipment training to customers as needed.
- Follow all required safety procedures.
- Electro-mechanical troubleshooting or repair experience.
- Experience using a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Related experience may include HVAC, cable/internet technician, electrician, automotive mechanic, equipment repair, or military technical experience.
- Strong time management and reliability.
- Valid driver's license, appropriate auto insurance, and clean driving history.
- Ability to work independently and meet service deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, stand, squat, and bend throughout the workday.
- Ability to drive for more than 50% of the workday.
