** SUMMARY
* * Provide casework management services and group work to adoptive families and special needs youth in the areas of assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy and support groups.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Complete comprehensive assessments of families and children’s strengths, needs, adoption issues, current risk to adoption, and family’s most salient needs.
* Provide services to adoptive families to support permanency and child/family well-being. Maintain case records according to agency standards as to content, accuracy, and confidentiality. Maintain caseloads based on established program protocol.
* Work collaboratively in partnership with public and private agencies to advocate toward permanency for adoptive placement.
* Provide on-call services to respond to after-hours emergencies as assigned by the program director. Ensure detailed notes are taken to document progress during supervision.
* Provide assessment for adoptive families and children to determine the ability of the program to meet their needs and the goals and objectives of the family service plan.
* Delivers and/or locates strengths-based, family-centered, and culturally competent adoption services. Oversee recruitment efforts for youth referred for this service.
* Provide direct crisis intervention services for adoptive families and their children. Develop and maintain positive relationships with agencies involved in the ATCP process. Maintain ongoing communication with the family and providers to ensure progress.
* Participate in regional committee meetings or meetings with professionals in the community as appropriate; conduct presentations at a local, state and national level as needed.
* Perform responsibilities in accordance with agency and licensing standards.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, in order to meet the needs of families. Provide therapeutic services that address core issues of adoption.

** OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Effectively use a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office and the Internet to produce documentation as required for the position. Learn and become proficient in any program specific technologies such as Evolv and Performance Impact.
* Responsible for accomplishing 2-3 measurable annual Individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing concrete data to illustrate progress on 90-day Individual Priorities and participating in Team Huddles.
* Report any (and if possible, provides intervention for) incident of abuse or potential abuse involving children to the appropriate supervisor.
* Assist center with COA recertification and licensure audits.
* Use effective and sensitive communication skills to build positive relationships with clients, families, staff and referring sources ensuring confidentiality.
