School Psychologist
School Psychologist provides assessment, counseling, and behavioral support to students in Richmond, Virginia, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. By identifying and addressing learning and emotional challenges, the psychologist helps improve student outcomes and supports school staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for students with learning or behavioral concerns.
- Develop individualized intervention plans and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Provide counseling services and crisis intervention to students in need.
- Facilitate classroom guidance sessions and social skills groups.
- Analyze academic and behavioral data to inform instructional strategies.
- Consult with school staff on classroom accommodations and behavior management techniques.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate student support services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal reporting requirements.
