Are you passionate about helping immigrant youth resettle in the community? We are looking for an experienced, Bilingual Lead Case Manager for our Transitional Foster Care program. With your talents, you could help dozens of children find stability and the resources they need to be successful.

EnCircle’s Transitional Foster Care program is part of our Immigration and Refugee Services division. This program is in partnership with Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services (LIRS) and serves unaccompanied children in the custody of Office of Refugee Resettlement and are now living with foster families. The primary responsibility of this position is coordinating case management and safe and timely release services and supervising the work of other case managers.

You will also be expected to provide casework and supportive services to a small caseload of approximately two children in foster care, which includes facilitating any family members identified or referred for potential sponsorship and assisting with sponsorship applications as needed.

The program operates 7 days/week, 365 days/ year, and we must be responsive to frequent policy changes from funders. In addition to your programmatic responsibilities, you will also be required to maintain communication with stakeholders in an effective and timely manner to ensure case continuity. This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

This role requires driving, therefore a "clean driving record" is critical.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES
  • Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields with at least 1 year experience of supervisory and case management experience with children and families OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience with children and families. Supervisory experience in direct service delivery with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, required.
  • Prior experience working with immigrant and/or refugee populations required.
  • Mature and stable judgement as well as sensitivity to various cultures.
  • Mustmaintainabroadknowledgeofbasicprinciples,concepts,andmethodologyof social work as acquired through a bachelor’s leveldegree or professional experience.
  • Trauma informed training for serving immigrant or vulnerable populations, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress or in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Computer literacy and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.
  • Regularly required to talk to and/or hear individuals who do not speak English as their primarylanguage.
  • Pass a criminal history screen and fingerprint check, including state and local child protection agency registries.
  • Participate in a system of 24-hour availability to clients, foster and adoptive parents, as required.
  • Unrestricted valid driver’s license with good driving record. Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served, proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Schedule:

    Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM. Weekends and evenings on occasion/on-call.…
