In addition, this position will represent DBHDS on various committees associated with APAL and/or CoCM in association with vendor and other stakeholders around the planning and implementation of APAL and/or CoCM. This includes extensive engagement and collaboration with state agencies, federal agencies such as SAMHSA, private and public entities and professional organizations such as Medical Society of Virginia, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Society of Addiction Medicine, or American Psychiatric Association.

This is a restricted, federal and state grant funded position, ending on September 30, 2027, and is not eligible for layoff benefits per DHRM state policy 1.30. Continued employment in this position beyond the stated end date is contingent upon funding.

  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing quality standards.
  • Coordinating program activities with established APAL vendor and relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing internal contract administration/oversight, as well as external with the vendor.

  • Experience with report writing using a variety of health data for program evaluation.
  • Knowledge of emerging practices and effective systems of care for behavioral health.
  • Proficiently use a variety of Microsoft Windows, MS Word, MS Exchange, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access and data software knowledge.
