** SUMMARY
* * Participate as a member of a treatment team in Child & Family Healing Center’s residential program to meet the social, recreational, behavioral, and educational needs of youth exhibiting acute emotional and behavioral difficulties. Implement, lead and participate in social and recreational activities for youth. Create and follow through on a schedule of rotation through the suites providing support where needed.

Provide a safe and therapeutic milieu that meets the physical and emotional needs of our clients. Implement treatment protocols established by a multi-disciplinary team. Respond to crisis as directed by Evening/Weekend Manager, Treatment Specialist or Administrators. Assume assigned tasks and responsibilities from supervisor and Administrative Staff.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

** Operational Support and Coaching of Support Coaches
*** Demonstrate proficiency and leadership in Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) by becoming a local expert in order to assist staff with CPS interventions.
* Continuously coach team members of proper de-escalation and restraint techniques through demonstration and training
* Create proactive interventions for youth by reviewing changeover notes, SIRs and information about previous shifts.
* Support on-boarding for new Support Coaches by modeling, training and providing feedback.
* Ensure adherence to suite schedules and planned activities are followed.
** SIGHT AND SOUND SUPERVISION and PROGRAM LIFE ENGAGEMENT
*** Provide supervision to youth in close proximity to hear and see them at all times.
* Use Collaborative Problem Solving techniques to help clients with challenging behaviors and to build helping relationships.
* Show an interest in clients by interacting with them regarding their day, and have a working knowledge of their background, family and community.
* Actively engage with youth in program and recreation activities.
* Supervise and monitor youth and activities in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
* Maintain and promote a positive, constructive and therapeutic environment by maintaining a harmonious environment that facilitates constructive group activities throughout the treatment milieu.
* Serve as a role model for youth in the areas of ethics, morals, appearance, spirituality, lifestyle principles, and by using techniques outlined in Foundation and TOVA Training.
* Understand treatment and program philosophy and implement when interacting with youth.
* Effectively follow recreation schedule.
** PHYSICAL INTERVENTION, CRISIS AND EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
*** Provide crisis intervention for residents, to include the use of approved verbal and physical intervention techniques within agency policy and procedure and any physical restraints (if needed) are to be used in compliance with TOVA training.
* Implement the agency's Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support practice according to policy and procedures. Practice healthy conflict resolution.
* Respond adequately to emergencies and potentially unsafe situations with clients.
* Responsible for contacting nurse and on-call if a crisis or emergency has occurred including completing any required documentation and notification appropriate individuals (to include guardians).
