Position

Purpose

As a Senior Software Engineer at Tactiq, you’ll design, develop, test, and maintain high‑quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver features that meet user and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable software applications and systems
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality products
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to peers and less experienced engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and contributing to team growth.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to systems and processes
  • Leverage AI‑assisted development tools and practices to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and document decision‑making
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or a demonstrated track record of building and shipping challenging software projects.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering software to production environments, including ownership of features from design through deployment.
  • Experience in developing large‑scale, high‑performance applications.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in relevant programming languages (Python, Java, GoLang).
  • Strong proficiency in relational databases.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development tools.
  • Hands‑on experience using and integrating AI‑based tools and workflows into the development lifecycle, understanding their capabilities, limitations, and establishing appropriate guardrails against inherent risks.
  • Must reside in one of these states: CA, CT, FL, IL, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, NC, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA.
  • Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
