Xela is seeking a talented and eager software developer to join our Avalanche team in a classified environment. As a software developer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and conducting unit and system testing, for software changes to customer mission critical capabilities. You will work closely with Avalanche program system engineers, as well as engineers on other programs that provide capabilities that hosted in the Avalanche-supported environment and integrated with Avalanche-developed and maintained capabilities.

The Avalanche program employs Agile methodology in managing work.

• Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a geographically distributed team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• US Citizenship with a current TS/SCI with CI Poly Government Security Clearance.
• Java- 2+ years directly related to software engineering.
• Having a CI or Polygraph

• Strong Java development experience, enabling independent work on application modifications with minimal support.
• Experience with a CI/CD tool suite, with the following tools preferred:
  Bit Bucket, Git, Jenkins, Ansible.
• Experience using Docker in a Kubernetes/ECS cluster.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), including SQS/SNS, S3, EC2, ECS, Dynamo
  
  DB and RDS.
• Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodology (SAFe, Scrum, Khanban)
• Must be able to support occasional after-hours maintenance.
