Senior PowerBuilder Developer - Richmond, VA; Hybrid on site

Virginia Tax is seeking an experienced, senior‑level Power Builder developer to provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system, as well as development and implementation of the Gen Tax‑IRMS interface under the direction of the Virginia Department of Taxation management.

Work collaboratively in a team environment to analyze, support, maintain the IRMS legacy system, and develop and implement the Gen Tax‑IRMS interface. Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the implementation of Power Builder applications.

• Experience developing Power Builder applications using Power Builder 12.5 or higher.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases such as Oracle 19C or higher, MySQL, or similar.
• Experience developing interfaces to File Net applications.
• Experience developing interfaces to REST APIs.
• Design and develop clear and maintainable code.
• Experience with software project tracking tools such as Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work well in a team.
• Interact with a multi‑disciplined team to clarify, analyze, and assess requirements.
• Work independently and collaboratively on a multi‑disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
• Contribute to detailed design, architecture discussions, and customer requirements sessions to support Power Builder implementations.

• Technical knowledge in designing, developing, and maintaining TAX processing and revenue management systems.
• Product knowledge of IRMS system and/or functional knowledge.

Richmond, VA (Hybrid 3–4 days on site).
