Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary

The individual in this position will provide developer support for the applications used by Information Technology and Corporate Services groups at Dominion Energy, as well as assist with support within the team’s portfolio across a wide variety of applications and technologies. The selected candidate must be well versed in all phases of application development.

• Supports .NET web applications and batch processes
• Utilizes scripting languages to assist application data workflow and replace manual processes
• Develops code changes based off of technical specifications
• Supports applications and infrastructure in both Windows and Linux environments
• Works in multi-platform server environments on multi-project assignments
• Performs unit testing of application changes and works with analysts during integration testing

• 5+ years experience in developing applications in .NET and scripting language platforms, application change management and application unit testing
• 5+ years experience troubleshooting and deploying bug fixes, using TFS Pipelines
• Experience creating batch ingestion integrating VDS and Archer APIs and integrating Snowflake data with Smartsheet APIs and Microsoft Graph API
• Experience writing and modifying SQL scripts in SQL Server and Oracle databases
• Experience working with Power Shell, Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft Power Suite, O-Auth and Java
• Experience working with Windows/IIS servers, Citrix, Web Logic, Oracle and SQL Server databases, MS Access, Red Hat Linux, FTP/SFTP, XML, HTML, Web services, Distributed Computing, Active Directory
• Experience developing standards and best practices for development teams

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant disciplines.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range: $90,900 – $118,100
