Service Now Developer
The Client is seeking a Service Now Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable solutions across the Service Now platform. The role emphasizes secure API integrations, custom development, intuitive user experiences, and IT Service Management (ITSM), with additional Service Now domain and artificial intelligence experience valued.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Service Now applications and platform enhancements
- Build secure, reliable integrations using REST, SOAP, webhooks, Integration Hub, MID Server, and related technologies
- Develop scripted REST APIs, business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, and Flow Designer workflows
- Configure and extend ITSM capabilities, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and CMDB
- Create intuitive, accessible experiences across Employee Center, Service Portal, work spaces, forms, catalogs, and mobile
- Partner with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and support teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot complex platform, integration, data, and performance issues
- Apply development standards, security controls, automated testing, code review, source control, and release-management practices
- Develop reusable components and documentation; support upgrades and releases; and evaluate AI and automation opportunities
Required/ Desired Skills
- Service Now development and configuration
- JavaScript and Service Now client-side and server-side scripting
- API integration design, security, and troubleshooting
- REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, authentication, logging, and monitoring
- Service Now ITSM processes and modules
- Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Catalog, ACLs, and automated testing
- Service Now data models, tables, reference relationships, and CMDB
- User-centered solution design, accessibility, security, and maintainability
- Testing, code review, source control, and release-management practices
- Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Employee Center, Service Portal, UI Builder, and configurable work spaces
- Service Now AI:
Now Assist, generative AI, Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, or AI Search - Enterprise integrations; accessibility; CSA/CAD/CIS-ITSM/ITIL certification
- Other Service Now domains: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, IRM/GRC, or App Engine
- Automated deployment pipelines, Agile delivery, and Dev Ops practices
