Responsibilities
- Program, maintain code, and develop .NET solutions for business applications.
- Design, write, and maintain C# code for future and ongoing projects.
- Contribute to design and planning sessions and formulate approaches for current coding tasks.
- Develop high‑quality applications in C#/Angular/SQL Server.
- Transfer data between application screens, handle large data sets, and manage add/update/delete transactions.
- Create new screens and reports; debug and maintain code (no APIs).
- Define and organize projects, identify technical risks, and resolve issues related to .NET projects.
- Work in a project team with other developers.
- Provide technical support to stakeholders and report project statuses to senior team members.
- Participate in project meetings with management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer.
- Excellent grasp of C# and the .NET framework.
- Proficient coding skills and daily problem‑solving ability.
- Knowledge of large menu‑driven business systems (claims processing, payroll, medical, insurance type applications).
- Experience with Agile development environments.
- Experience with Cold Fusion is nice to have.
- US citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) required for this contract‑to‑hire role.
- On‑site work in Richmond, VA; telework not permitted.
- Contract‑to‑hire position for a minimum of 6 months with potential extension.
- Angular (experience with gRPC would be a plus).
- SQL Server (including T‑SQL).
- Build and deployment repositories such as Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub.
- Knowledge of .NET 3.1 or higher.
- Experience with other programming languages (COBOL, PHP, C+, Java, Python, Cold Fusion, etc.).
- Ability to write clean, easy‑to‑understand code.
- Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
This role is on‑site at the Richmond, VA office and is a contract‑to‑hire position for a minimum of six months, with the possibility of extension.
