Delivery Driver- Richmond, VA

Description

We are searching for a Truck Driver to work in our Pet Segment, providing logistics, production, and maintenance support at our Sun Pet location in Richmond, VA. This position primarily involves loading freight on trucks. It requires heavy lifting and late nights. Other duties involve errands, picking up supplies, supporting maintenance and production crews.

Tuesday - Friday, Possible overnight stays (40-50 hours a week).

• Loading individual customer orders on trucks in an organized and efficient manner.
• Effectively interpret and understand the paperwork provided to assist in organizing the shipments.
• Unload or deliver the orders intact, confirming box counts, etc. to air cargo or customer location.
• Maintain a pleasant working relationship with our contacts.
• Maintain trucks in clean, operational manner.

• Ability and willingness to work with others.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Comfortable driving trucks as large as a 26’ box truck in urban conditions.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
• Obtain a valid driver’s license.
• CDL and or DOT certified preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits.
• Ability to problem solve and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Ability to lift packages to 50 lbs. or more.
