North American Operations Specialist

North Chesterfield, VA | $18.00/hr | Contract-to-Hire

Join a Fast-Paced Transportation & Logistics Team! Lingo Staffing is currently seeking a North American Operations Specialist to support transportation and logistics operations for a leading organization in North Chesterfield, VA.

Schedule:

Friday – Monday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Pay: $18.00 per hour

What You'll Do
  • Track, trace, and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and service performance
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and transportation documentation
  • Process customer and operational information within company systems
  • Monitor web portals, email, voicemail, and other communication channels for shipment updates
  • Communicate shipment statuses, delays, and service issues as needed

    Support daily transportation and logistics operations through administrative and clerical tasks
  • Review carrier and service provider charges for billing accuracy
  • Apply transportation and accessorial charges when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate data and records within operational systems
  • Assist internal teams with operational updates and support
  • Follow company safety, security, and compliance procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, operations, or administrative support preferred
  • Freight forwarding, transportation coordination, or supply chain experience is a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
