Motor Vehicle Operator (Title 32) (Permanent) – Position Description Number D0843000 – VA G4, National Guard.

Applicants must provide full employment history with dates and part‑time weekly hours.

Qualified applicants include:

• Group I – All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Member (E4/SPC – E7/SFC) currently employed in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program.
• Group II – All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member (E4/SPC – E7/SFC), regardless of employment status.
• Group III – Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Army National Guard.

Military Grade: Enlisted Member (E4/SPC – E7/SFC)

Experience, education, or training operating and performing operator maintenance on one or more motor vehicles to transport personnel, supplies, materials or equipment.

Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the WG‑07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems. Experience may also have been obtained in the private sector if comparable.

• Operating primarily straight‑line trucks typically with gross vehicle weight over 32,000 pounds or truck tractors with semitrailers or full trailers to transport personnel.
• Ensuring shipping and accounting documents accompany each shipment and accurately reflect actual condition, quantities and type of material.
• Performing warehouse work: issuing, receiving and inventorying equipment, supplies and materials; loading and unloading trucks; storing and pulling warehouse stock; packing and unpacking material; and repairing or replacing items on equipment.
• Dispatching vehicles or issuing forms, credit cards or military driver’s licenses.
