CDL Delivery Driver Training ProgramWe are currently accepting applications for our CDL Delivery Driver Training Program. Participants will gain exposure to all aspects of our operations.
ScheduleHome every evening with weekends off. Monday‑Friday start time is ~2–5 a.m. until the route is complete.
Compensation- Non‑CDL Holders: $25 per hour while training to obtain a Class A CDL
- CDL Holders: $235 per day
- Once a route is available and you are assigned, the title changes to Delivery Driver and compensation increases to a daily rate plus eligibility for a biweekly performance bonus.
- All trainees, assistants, and drivers receive a $25 per month cell phone allowance.
- Deliver products to accounts in a timely manner
- Merchandise, stock product, and rotate product to BDC standards
- Provide excellent customer service
- Collect payment at time of delivery
- Ensure safe operation of all BDC equipment (Tractor/Trailer, pallet jacks)
- Follow safety and operating policies, including local and state traffic laws
- Complete daily pre/post checklists on all equipment (Tractor/Trailer, pallet jacks)
- Unload and merchandise product to ensure freshness
- Follow route sequence and deliver all products daily
- Process all close‑to‑code “CTC” and out‑of‑code “OOC” beer as requested by the Sales Representative
- Maintain professional service and customer satisfaction
- Communicate with sales regarding refusals and non‑deliverables with reasoning
- Use the first‑in, first‑out system for product rotation
- Ensure proper display, windows, and backstock appearance (all products facing the same direction)
- Collect all invoices ("DSD’s") and/or store stamps for proof of receipt
- Collect all empty AB/Chep pallets
- Collect all empty kegs and credit empty deposits back to the account
- Reconcile at end of each shift to match checks received with invoices
- Obtain a Class A CDL Permit within 1 week
- Good customer service, communication skills, and basic math ability
- Ability to work well with other departments and build partnerships with sales team
- Maintain a D.O.T. Medical Certificate
- Hold a valid Real Driver’s license
- Maintain a clean driving record (no negative points, no DUIs, no reckless driving)
- Willingness to sign a one‑year employment contract if you receive your Class A CDL license through Brown Distributing
- All final applicants must comply with and pass drug, background, and driving checks
