Warehouse Lead Job Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for guiding the Warehouse Team in receiving, storing, loading, and ensuring the safe handling of beer and other materials. This role involves performing inventories on packaging materials and packaged beer as required and preparing shipments to the offsite warehouse without damage. Unloading incoming ingredients and packaging materials, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing products, and maintaining comprehensive shipping logs are essential duties.
Responsibilities- Perform inventories on packaging materials and packaged beer as needed.
- Handle, store, and prepare beer products for shipment to the offsite warehouse, ensuring no damage.
- Unload incoming ingredients and packaging materials and verify accuracy.
- Match loads to purchase orders or bills of lading and maintain master receiving and shipping logs.
- Check and verify all incoming Microstar orders and submit reports on daily and monthly cycles.
- Reconcile inventory load discrepancies with packaging, brewing, and the offsite warehouse.
- Facilitate communication between the offsite warehouse and the brewery for incoming and outgoing products.
- Maintain warehouse equipment in good working order, including forklifts.
- Adapt to changing duties, responsibilities, and activities as required.
- Proficiency in stand-up forklift operation
- Experience in inventory management and cycle counts
- Knowledge of SAP for data entry and inventory management
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of related experience or training
- Forklift certification
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write correspondence
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations
- Reasoning ability to follow instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is climate-controlled, with occasional needs to enter refrigerated areas to access products. The first shift runs from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The job location is in Richmond, VA. The employee will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold, with a loud noise level.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA 23230.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
