WORK SHIFT DAY
Summary of duties:
Coordinates the shipping process and ensures that packages are prepared for shipment in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinates the shipping of Merit's products from the warehouse by:
- Overseeing the Shipping Clerks and making sure that information is correct on picking and packing slips;
- Verifies the accuracy of the Shipping Clerk's work on a random basis to ensure that packages are being shipped correctly;
- Pulling, picking, and packing orders for shipment and verifying information to avoid incorrect shipments;
- Weighing packages and placing shipping labels on packages which correspond with the customers shipment method request.
- Lifting–Not to exceed 50lbs.–local practice may apply.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education equivalent to a High School diploma.
- Work related experience equivalent to two years of previous warehouse experience, with three months of warehouse supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to operate a forklift safely.
- Ability to be neat and organized and pay extreme attention to detail.
- Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well with others.
- Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
