We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to join a local Food service Equipment Distributor based here in Richmond, VA. This is a direct hire opportunity.

In this role, you will step into a high-impact leadership position with a growing organization in the food service equipment industry. Our client is seeking a motivated, hands‑on Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure accurate, on‑time deliveries.

You’ll be actively involved on the floor, leading by example and working side‑by‑side with the warehouse team.

• Oversee and participate in receiving, inspection, and inventory intake
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
• Identify and resolve damaged or incorrect shipments with vendors
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries with customers
• Communicate delivery details clearly to drivers
• Stage and prepare large equipment orders
• Lead and support warehouse staff (4 direct reports) to maintain productivity and accountability
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
• Plan efficient delivery routes and manage timelines
• Serve as the point of contact for operational issues and problem‑solving
• Track and improve operational efficiency and inventory accuracy
• Develop and enhance warehouse workflows and systems

• Accuracy of all incoming shipments
• Resolution of damages and discrepancies
• Smooth, on‑time delivery coordination
• Warehouse organization and operational efficiency
• Clear communication across vendors, customers, drivers, and internal teams

• 3‑5 years of warehouse experience (with leadership experience required)
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with receiving, inventory control, and logistics coordination
• Comfortable communicating with vendors and customers
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, email, ERP systems)
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly
• Reliable, proactive, and solutions‑oriented mindset
