Position Description

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour – $20/HR

The primary focus of the Warehouse II role is the movement of product within the warehouse. In addition, this role serves as a back‑up delivery driver for non‑CDL trucks. This is a general labor position that prioritizes and picks product to fill orders, and physically moves and lifts product weighing up to 150 pounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in administrative tasks, such as handling and preparation of paperwork.
  • Assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
  • Verify all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in amount, size and type; inform management of inventory and supply shortages and assist in periodic inventory counts.
  • Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over‑ and under‑shipments, return of products to vendors, etc., and segregate defective product from normal flow of inventory.
  • Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
  • Designate and organize warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Handle tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) safely and maintain an operator license, if required.
  • Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial/housekeeping tasks such as cleaning parking lot, loading dock and surrounding area; keep floors clear of debris, maintain bathrooms, and assist in daily closing down of the warehouse.

Qualifications
  • High School or GED degree.
  • 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Skills in Policy & Procedures, Storage, Verbal Communication, Production Quality, Equipment Utilization, Health and Safety, Inventory Management, and Logistics.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; and must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment:
Exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time; noise level usually moderate.

Travel required:

5% of the time.
