Responsibilities
The Receiving Specialist receives and verifies incoming purchase orders using automated system(s); researchers packages that don’t have purchase orders in a timely manner; and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Receiving Specialist delivers all incoming packages to the correct location as soon as possible. Duties include but are not limited to receiving, shipping, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming packages.
EssentialJob Statements
- Utilize MMIS system to receive packages
- Appropriately receives packages and safely and securely prepares for transport
- General maintenance, including cleaning, organizing, and securing inventory
- Load and wrap items utilizing pallet jackets
- Delivers items to end users (internal customers)
- Verifies accuracy of deliveries
- Verifies PO and receipt accuracy in MMIS
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Ensure responsibility and visible commitment of diversity equity and inclusion programs/initiatives through collaboration and implementation of initiatives across the health

- 1 year warehouse or supply chain experience preferred
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions; cold, hot, dust, wind, etc. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May have periods of constant interruptions. Prolonged periods of working alone. Job duties may include the access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies.
