About the Role
As a Warehouse Operator at Maverick Pipe in Zekelman Industries
, Richmond, KY, this role supports warehouse and shipping operations through the safe and efficient handling of steel tube and pipe products. The position involves picking, packing, staging, and loading materials while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Shift: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm (M‑F)
What You’ll Do- Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment
- Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams
- Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools
- Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers safely and efficiently
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials while reporting damages or discrepancies
- Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using reach trucks or forklifts
- Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie‑rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently
- Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain regular, full‑time, predictable onsite attendance
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or equivalent experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred; technical training is a plus
- Basic math skills to support accurate order processing
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Problem‑solving ability to address day‑to‑day warehouse challenges
- High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and adherence to quality standards
- Commitment to maintaining safe work practices in a warehouse environment
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move for extended periods
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
