Job DescriptionWe’re looking for Billing Clerks who are excited to support the daily operations of our Patient Accounting team through accurate document processing, payment handling, and administrative support. In this role, you’ll help maintain organized financial records, assist with mail and payment processing, support scanning and data entry functions, and provide excellent internal customer service. Key Responsibilities- Process incoming mail correspondence and distribute appropriately
- Batch and prepare documents for scanning into HPF systems
- Process daily patient and insurance payments received by mail
- Provide relief support for cashiering and data entry functions
- Assist with incoming department phone calls and routing inquiries
- Provide backup support for HPF technical scanning duties
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient financial information
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work closely with the Patient Accounting team to support efficient financial operations and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and the ability to learn hospital systems
- Experience with data entry, ten-key, or clerical support functions preferred
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail for accurate payment and document processing
- Ability to follow instructions, manage routine tasks, and work effectively in a team environment
- Prior experience in a healthcare or office setting preferred
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language
- Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with patients, families, coworkers, and the community
