About the Position
Serv Corp (SCx) is seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer to support workplace safety, hazard prevention, compliance, training, and safety program activities.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an operational environment, identifying potential hazards, communicating safety requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities- Support workplace safety and health programs.
- Conduct safety inspections and observations.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support incident reporting and follow-up activities.
- Communicate safety requirements to employees and management.
- Support safety training and awareness activities.
- Maintain safety-related records and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with applicable safety requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings and continuous-improvement activities.
- Promote safe work practices throughout operations.
- Relevant education, training, or professional experience in occupational safety, health, construction safety, industrial safety, or a related field.
- Demonstrated professional safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in an operational environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work on-site in China Lake, California.
- Ability to satisfy applicable employment, background, and facility-access requirements.
- Professional safety certification.
- Construction or industrial safety experience.
- Government or regulated-industry experience.
- Experience conducting safety inspections and training.
- Experience with incident investigation and corrective actions.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
