Opportunities For Learning (OFL)

The role is for a certified English Language Learner teacher in grades 7-12.

Bi‑weekly: $2,807.70 - $4,038.47

• Identify and instruct English learners and standard English learners with English Language Development support in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Manage a caseload of 50-75 students, providing weekly interventions and instruction, assessing progress, and reporting to the regional leadership team.
• Track EL enrollment and student progress monthly, create action plans, and develop individualized academic plans for each EL student.
• Prepare an outline for the course of study following curriculum guidelines or state and school requirements.
• Administer ELPAC tests to evaluate pupil progress and record results.
• Provide pull‑out and additional support to Long Term English Learners in AR and SGI classes.
• Facilitate professional learning communities to support AR teachers with pedagogy and interventions for English Language Learners.
• Conduct initial ELPAC assessment within 30 days of enrollment to develop Individualized Learning Plans and monitor progress.

• Experience working with second‑language learners and in second‑language acquisition.
• Valid California clear or preliminary single‑subject teaching credential.
• English Learner Authorization (ELA1 or similar).
