Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
Seeking a highly motivated and driven Network Engineer to work onsite supporting enterprise IT for our War‑fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work or at play.
Responsibilities- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Performs maintenance and upgrades of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and networks.
- Assists with network solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
- Maintains awareness of various network technologies, including routing, switching, Azure cloud technologies.
- Monitors network performance, identifies bottlenecks, and implements solutions to optimize performance.
- Reviews network logs, backs up network configurations, and recovers network devices.
- Utilizes Cisco ISE, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and Solar Winds.
- Ensures compliance with network directives, policies, and STIGs.
- Applies network patches, updates, and DoW STIGs to firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
- Works with project managers to complete rapidly deployed network‑related projects.
- Communicates with technical and nontechnical team members for collaboration.
- Stays current with new network technologies and utilizes industry best practices.
- Coaches and provides guidance to less experienced networking professionals.
- Occasional travel may be required in response to network outages.
- 5 years of concurrent experience in network administration and analysis.
- Experience working with complex network administration and maintenance.
- Experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes to include maintaining network system documentation.
- Experience maintaining the integrity and security of networks and connected systems.
- Experience evaluating vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and coordinating installation.
- Experience in developing and monitoring policies and standards related to the use of computing resources.
- Experience in developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results.
CCNA or CCNP

EducationBS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an Information Technology. Allowable Substitution: 6 years of related experience or 4 years of related experience with an AA/AS degree.

CompensationThe likely salary range for this position is $92,000 - $125,000 annually. This is not, however, a guarantee of total compensation or salary or any other compensation offered. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
