Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Day Program / Personal Assistant

Ridgecrest, CA – $21.00 per hour – AM Shift – Full-Time & Part-Time Available

As a Personal Assistant (DSP – Day Program), you will support individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, or chronic illnesses while promoting independence and community integration.

• Transport individuals using your personal vehicle for appointments, work, and community activities
• Assist with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, toileting, hygiene)
• Provide emotional support, behavioral guidance, and medical assistance as needed
• Follow Individual Program Plans (IPP)
• Teach life skills (mobility, workplace readiness, community engagement)
• Accurately document daily activities and data
• Report incidents and suspected abuse per legal requirements
• Facilitate group and individual community integration activities
• Attend trainings and staff meetings

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months–1 year caregiving experience (professional or personal)
• Age 21+
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
• Ability to pass background check & pre-employment screenings

• DSP Year 1 & Year 2 Certifications
• CPI Certification (within 6 months)
• CPR/First Aid (within 30 days)
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
