Network Engineer - Onsite - Active Secret ; Security Clearance

Job Overview

Seeking a highly motivated and driven Network Engineer to work onsite supporting enterprise IT for our war‑fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work or at play.

• Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
• Assist with network solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
• Maintain awareness of various network technologies, including routing, switching, and Azure cloud technologies.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Review network logs, backup network configurations, and recover network devices.
• Utilize Cisco ISE, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and Solar Winds.
• Ensure compliance with network directives, policies, and STIGs.
• Apply network patches, updates, and DoD STIGs to firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
• Work with project managers to complete rapidly deployed network‑related projects.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with new network technologies and utilize industry best practices.
• Coach and provide guidance to less‑experienced networking professionals.
• Travel occasionally in response to network outages.

• 5 years of concurrent experience in network administration and analysis.
• Experience working with complex network administration and maintenance.
• Experience with complex system implementations and organizational processes, including maintaining network system documentation.
• Experience maintaining the integrity and security of networks and connected systems.
• Experience evaluating vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and coordinating installation.
• Experience developing and monitoring policies and standards related to the use of computing resources.
• Experience developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results.

• CCNA or CCNP
• Security Clearance:
  Active Secret Security Clearance

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an Information Technology discipline. Allowable substitution: 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of related experience with an AA/AS degree.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,000 – $125,000 annually. This range does not guarantee total compensation or salary; actual compensation will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements, and may fall outside of this range.
