SSMC is a fast‑paced, patient‑centered outpatient clinic dedicated to providing high‑quality care to our community. We’re looking for caring and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) who thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment and are experienced in ambulatory care settings.
In this role, you’ll provide both direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist providers during examinations and procedures, and help ensure smooth daily clinic operations. You’ll support patient flow, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a positive, team‑based environment focused on compassionate, patient‑centered service.

Key Responsibilities- Perform direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Administer medications, injections, and monitor patient responses
- Perform EKGs, wound care, and other clinical procedures within scope
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during exams and minor procedures
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, follow‑up appointments, and discharge instructions
- Manage phone triage and patient communications
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
- Execute and support individualized care plans with professionalism and empathy
This role involves working closely with our Primary Clinic team to deliver effective, patient‑focused services in a supportive and inclusive environment. You’ll partner with providers, medical assistants, and front office staff to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
Qualifications- Current LVN license to practice in California
- IV certification
- Minimum 2+ years of clinic/outpatient experience required
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and patient flow in ambulatory settings
- Proficiency in EMR systems
- Current BLS certification required and maintained
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language
- Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
- Experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
