About the PositionLocum Jobs Online is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Emergency Medicine NP in Ridgecrest, California, 93555!
We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for our client in California, with an assignment beginning Aug 1, 2026. This role involves 6 monthly 12-hour shifts, typically from 11a-11p in POD B or 9a-9p in POD C for triage. The Nurse Practitioner will provide general emergency room patient care, including managing acute conditions, taking intakes, and handling prescription refills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform 6 12-hour shifts per month.
- Work from 11a-11p in POD B with an RN, managing cases such as belly pain, blood work, prescription refills, sick visits, and chest pain with no risk (for patients not requiring monitoring).
- Work in POD C from 9a-9p, responsible for triage in the waiting room, taking intakes, and placing patients back in the ER.
- See patients in a trauma center setting.
- Manage a variety of cases including Chest Pain or Pressure, Uncontrolled Bleeding, Sudden or Severe Pain, Coughing or Vomiting Blood, Large Open Wounds, Changes in Mental Status, Sudden Change in Vision, Difficulty in Breathing, Major Burns, Sudden Dizziness/Weakness, Severe Injuries, and Loss of Consciousness.
