We’re looking for a compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who is dedicated to supporting quality resident care and nursing excellence in a long‑term care setting. In this role, you will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day‑to‑day operations of the Nursing Services Department. You will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.
In the absence of the Director of Nursing, you will assume responsibility for carrying out resident care policies established by the facility.
Offer holistic and resident‑centered nursing care, focusing on the unique needs of residents and their families with a positive and respectful approach that aligns with the hospital’s values. Emphasize support, clear education, and collaborative decision‑making to foster a positive care experience.
Collaborative TeamworkThis role involves working closely with our team to deliver resident‑focused services and contribute to the overall well‑being of our residents while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The ADON serves as a leader and role model, promoting teamwork and supporting the goals, mission, and vision of the Hospital and Nursing Department.
Qualifications- Current RN licensure to practice in California
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care facility or related healthcare setting
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures related to long‑term care
- Demonstrated ability to provide positive RN leadership consistent with organizational goals and objectives
- Must be a supportive team member and exemplify teamwork and collaboration
- BLS certification required and maintained
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of the residents served
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language
- Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, and coworkers
