Primary Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities and required knowledge for the Fiber Optic Assembly Service I role include:
Requirements
* Fiber optic cabling, including installation, splicing, polishing, cleaving, connectorization, testing, and termination (fusion and mechanical)

* Electromechanical connectorization, assembly, and documentation

* Use of Corning, EXFO, and Fluke test equipment

* Installation and maintenance of Cat 6, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling

* Maintenance of fiber and copper systems

* Emergency restoration procedures for fiber and copper systems

* Inspection and quality verification services

* Troubleshooting of fiber and copper systems

* Fiber documentation, industry standards, and installation best practices

Qualifications:

* Ability to assemble or install equipment and components requiring basic wiring, soldering, or connections;
* Perform routine tasks and tests, such as tensile or hardness testing, operate and adjust basic test equipment, and record test data

* Gather and maintain engineering records, perform calculations using established formulas, and plot data to create simple curves and graphs. To industry standards and installation techniques

* Minimum 2 years' experience
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

* Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.

* Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.

NOTE:
