Responsibilities
As Staff Accountant, responsibilities include assuming the role of a detail-oriented professional who will be responsible for assisting the Controller in handling timely and accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial information.
Reports to: Controller
Core Activities- Overseeing basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, billing, and G/L entries)
- Reconcile and post daily events and account adjustments
- Process weekly Payroll
- Overseeing the timely entry of invoices and paying bills
- Assist the Controller with reconciliation schedules and documentation for annual external audit
- Assist with operation of office including answering phones, taking reservations, and assisting members
- Record daily and monthly entries, post batches and enter deposits and payments
- Complete all other duties assigned by the Controller and/or General Manager
The club will offer an attractive and competitive compensation package commensurate with the candidate’s experience to include:
- $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience
- Annual employee holiday bonus

About Silver Spring Country ClubSilver Spring is a member owned, private country club situated on 300 acres in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The club offers state of the art facilities for golf, racquet sports, aquatics, and dining and social options for all seasons. Membership is from Ridgefield and the surrounding towns in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. A family centric club, it continues to evolve with amenities and membership options that attract a diverse group of people.
The 18‑hole Robert White designed golf course has averaged 20,000 rounds annually. A complete Golf Course Master Plan is in the process of being completed in collaboration with renowned golf course architect, Brian Schneider, of Renaissance Golf Design. Other amenities include a platform tennis center with five courts and paddle hut, eight hard‑turf tennis courts, and four pickleball courts. An extensive long‑range capital plan is currently in process.
The club has maintained a membership that is at capacity with a significant waiting list projected for 2026.
