Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a part-time onsite assignment in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This Long-term Contract position offers approximately 10 to 20 hours per week and is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing billing, reconciliations, payroll support, and accurate financial recordkeeping. The role requires a hands-on individual who can work independently, maintain organized records, and ensure timely processing of routine accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records by entering transactions, updating account details, and keeping bookkeeping data current.

- Oversee billing activities, including setting up charges, reviewing account information, and following through on payment-related items.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to support timely vendor payments and incoming funds management.

- Perform bank reconciliations, prepare deposits, and verify that cash activity is properly recorded.

- Support payroll administration for hourly staff and reimbursements using designated payroll systems.

- Track outstanding bills, handle check preparation, and coordinate printing and mailing of payments as needed.

- Monitor donation-related financial activity and keep supporting documentation organized and up to date.

- Use Quick Books Online and Shul Cloud to manage bookkeeping records, reporting, and daily accounting workflows. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping with a solid understanding of general accounting procedures.

- Hands-on experience with Quick Books, including maintaining records and reconciling accounts.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

- Experience supporting payroll for hourly employees and processing employee reimbursements.

- Ability to prepare deposits, manage checks, and handle payment processing tasks accurately.

- Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Comfortable working onsite in Ridgefield, Connecticut for approximately 10 to 20 hours per week.
