Onsite Facilities Mechanical Engineer
Work includes both retrofits and new systems in highly complex industrial facilities.
Required Experience- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- 10+ years mechanical facilities design (HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing)
- 5+ years design project delivery experience
- Strong knowledge of ASME, ASME B31.3, ASHRAE, building and fire codes
- Experience reviewing vendor submittals and working with construction teams
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- EIT or PE license
- 5+ years as a facilities engineer
- Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, equipment plans, and details
- AutoCAD, Revit, BIM
360 experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Develop BOD, SOW, design, and construction documents
- Design and oversee facility mechanical systems including HVAC, process cooling water, wastewater, exhaust, fire protection, plumbing, and process piping
- Perform code assessments, HAZOP reviews, and scope development
- Act as mechanical lead on multi-discipline teams; run stakeholder meetings
- Support engineering through construction and system integration
