As a Senior Care Activities Assistant - Member Advocate with Evergreen Daytime Senior Care in Ridgefield, CT, you'll keep the energy up at our facility and add more joy to the seniors' lives. This part‑time role works 15 – 24 hours per week during our standard hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm).

What You’ll DoOur Senior Care Activities Assistant - Member Advocate is the life of the party, coming up with fun activities to keep seniors engaged and active! In this part‑time role, you’ll lead small groups (usually 3 to 15 people) in a variety of fun activities, such as karaoke, bingo, chair yoga, nature walks, memory games, and more. You’ll also assist with personal care tasks and general facility cleaning to maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging seniors in fun games, physical exercises, reflective discussions, and more
- Providing personal care support as needed, including toileting reminders, meal assistance, transfers, and transportation
- Operating TVs, our Rendever VR system, and the Storii Care platform
- Setting up and breaking down the studio, sweeping the floor, and wiping surfaces
- Participating in all team meetings and required trainings
- Treating seniors respectfully, celebrating wins, supporting independence, and making every day amazing!
- Residence within 15 miles of our zip code
- 5+ years of experience designing and leading activities in group settings
- Experience in healthcare, customer service, or a similar field
- Ability to drive members to and from home to the studio as needed
- Positive, empathetic, and adaptable personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for helping the elderly
- Eagerness to learn more
- Ability to follow our dress code
