Director, Capability Team Lead – Boehringer Ingelheim USA Corporation
Location:
Ridgefield, CT. Telecommuting permitted: up to 40% of the time within normal commuting distance.
- Manages a team of 6–10 direct reports.
- Responsible for an annual budget of 1M+ Euro.
- Shapes and represents cross‑functional strategic goals.
- Designs and operates global and local IT solutions.
- Oversees IT project and portfolio management.
- Fosters innovation within the organization.
- Operates a global technical environment that creates US‑first solutions scalable worldwide.
- Achieves cost efficiencies for the global environment, ensuring US‑first excellence.
- Telecommuting permitted: up to 40% of time within normal commuting distance from Ridgefield office.
40 hours per week (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).
Job Requirements- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field AND four years of IT experience; OR Bachelor’s degree AND eight years of IT experience.
- At least four years of experience leading teams and providing functional or technical guidance.
- Design, implementation, and management of information‑systems technology solutions within a regulated industry, including compliance with international and local regulatory frameworks.
- Navigating complex regulatory landscapes and collaborating with compliance and legal teams.
- Business operations and technology enablement of processes, supporting data management, decision‑making, and aligning technology with business objectives.
- Formulating and executing global strategic initiatives aligned with business goals, assessing needs, identifying opportunities, and developing comprehensive strategies.
- Managing relationships with external technology and service providers, overseeing selection, evaluation, performance, and ensuring quality, compliance, and budgetary requirements.
- Negotiating contracts and service agreements, driving cost efficiencies while maintaining strong partnerships.
- Developing and managing financial plans and strategic roadmaps for enterprise IT systems, including forecasting, allocation, and budget monitoring.
- 10% domestic and international travel required.
