Scientist III

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Scientist III for a 12+ month contract position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Ridgefield, CT.

This role focuses on conducting routine and non‑routine cellular assays to support in vitro assay development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in aseptic cell culture and molecular biology techniques, with the ability to independently design, execute, and interpret experiments.

• Conduct routine and non‑routine cellular assays to support in vitro assay development
• Initiate and complete routine in vitro studies in an independent and efficient manner
• Interpret the outcome of experiments and propose appropriate follow‑up actions
• Assist in the design and execution of non‑routine experiments for cell‑based in vitro and biochemical assays
• Apply basic scientific principles for study design, data analysis, and interpretation
• Independently operate and troubleshoot lab equipment
• Communicate work effectively orally and in writing, contributing to protocols and reports
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic lab notebooks
• Comply with all applicable regulations and Standard Operating Procedures

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution with one‑plus (1+) years of experience in a related scientific discipline OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with seven‑plus (7+) years of experience in a STEM discipline
• Experience in aseptic cell culture techniques and molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, RT‑PCR, Western Blot, and ELISA
• Experience with in vitro cellular assay execution and assay development
• Proven problem‑solving ability with an aptitude for agile learning
• Ability to contribute to the design, execution, and interpretation of non‑routine experiments with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with computers and data analysis software such as Microsoft Excel and Graph Pad Prism
• Ability and willingness to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment

• Experience with non‑viral in vitro gene delivery techniques
• Cell‑based imaging experience

Up to $53.16 per hour
