** Position Summary*
* We are seeking a highly motivated Functional Genomics Scientist III with strong experience in molecular and cell biology to design, develop, and execute advanced functional genomics assays. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in CRISPR-based genome editing, next-generation sequencing library preparation, and single-cell technologies.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Design, develop, and execute functional genomics assays, including CRISPR-based genome editing workflows.
+ Perform CRISPR experiments including guide RNA design, RNP delivery, transfection/infection, selection of edited cells, and validation of knockouts/knock-ins.
+ Conduct next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation for genomics and transcriptomics applications.
+ Perform single-cell sequencing workflows, including sample preparation, library generation, and quality control.
+ Implement and support advanced assays such as Perturb-seq, CITE-seq, and spatial transcriptomics.
+ Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory documentation in compliance with internal policies.
+ Define and execute quality control (QC) procedures to ensure data reliability and reproducibility.
+ Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
+ Provide technical guidance and training to research scientists on functional genomics technologies.
+ Monitor scientific literature to identify new methods, tools, and best practices in functional genomics.
** Required Qualifications*
* + Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Functional Genomics, or a related field with 4+ years of hands-on laboratory experience.
+ Proven experience with CRISPR genome editing, including guide RNA design, transfection/infection, edited cell selection, and knockout/knock-in validation.
+ Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation.
+
Experience with single-cell technologies, including sample preparation, library generation, and quality control.
+ Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, Western blotting, cloning, and gel electrophoresis.
+ Strong cell culture skills, including maintaining multiple cell lines and performing transfections using sterile technique.
+ Ability to troubleshoot functional genomics experiments and work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
+
Experience with lab automation and handling multiple experimental workflows simultaneously is a plus.
