Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
Arcadis is seeking a talented and driven Process Engineer with strong PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience to join our manufacturing operations team. You will be responsible for optimizing, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in PLC programming and automation will be critical to our mission of delivering high-quality products efficiently and reliably.
Responsibilities- Analyze, design, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for manufacturing issues.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) for automated equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance and controls engineering teams to ensure reliable equipment operation.
- Lead and execute capital and process improvement projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, validation, maintenance) to deliver projects on time.
- Provide on-the-floor technical support for manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Ensure all processes comply with cGMP, ISO, and client safety standards.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- 2+ years in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment (preferably life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or related industry).
- Proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and HMI interfaces.
- Familiarity with automation control systems, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to provide legal U.S. work authorization documents required. Will consider U.S. domestic travelers and relocation.
