Our Engineering Boot Camp is a full-time Engineer I role paired with a structured training and development program built to accelerate your growth in the power industry. As a Boot Camp Engineer, you ll dive into focused classroom instruction led by seasoned Qualus engineers and industry experts, participate in immersive site visits, and gain hands-on substation safety and equipment training.
You ll also receive guided preparation for the FE exam to help you build a strong technical foundation from day one.

As a Substation Design Engineer, you will work alongside Protection & Control Engineers to design physical substation layouts utilizing applicable codes and client standards. Typical designs to include general arrangement, equipment and electrical layout, elevation views, cable trench, grounding, conduit drawings, details, and AC and DC power systems. The 2026 Engineering Boot Camp, powered by Qualus University, will be starting July 2026.
