BMSS Advisors & CPAs is seeking proactive, detail-oriented Summer interns in our Ridgeland, MS office.

Have you decided between Assurance or Tax?! At BMSS, we are committed to helping students gain valuable experience in both disciplines so they can make career choices based on their own experiences. Our traditional "Busy Season" (January - April) internship focuses heavily on providing our interns with audit & tax experience. Due to unique client circumstances, our summer internship in Ridgeland is primarily audit, but we will attempt to provide some exposure to tax.

Our ideal candidate will be entering their final year of their accounting undergrad degree or recently graduated and be available to work in Ridgeland, MS during their internship.

BMSS was established in Birmingham in 1991 and has grown to become a top 100 advisory and CPA firm in the U.S. Our services include tax planning, compliance and assurance, merger and acquisition, advisory, wealth management, accounting services, payroll, and IT Support. What you will be doing:

We are happy to work around class schedules but do require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week during the internship. This internship will be mainly focused on audit due to high volumes of audit projects during this time; however, there could be opportunities to gain experience in tax as well.

Skills needed to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university.
• Capability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members at various levels.
• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication.
