Accounts Receivable/ Collections, Loan Servicing
This position is responsible for the recovery of charged-off deposit accounts by initiating appropriate collection actions. Ensures all recovery efforts are conducted in compliance with applicable banking regulations and internal policies. Maintains accurate records of collection activities and collaborates with relevant departments to resolve account issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers for payments using predictive and preview dialer systems.
- Handle incoming customer calls and provide account resolution support.
- Assist customers in establishing repayment arrangements.
- Prepare and distribute collection notices in accordance with recovery policies.
- Research deposit statements and account histories to support collection efforts.
- Drive team performance by actively contributing to shared goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in collections
- Working knowledge of collection laws and policies
- Familiarity with bankruptcy procedures
- Strong telephone communication and negotiation skills
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills
- Investigative and research skills
- Basic PC skills
- Must be able to multitask
Preferred:
- 2 years of customer service experience
Physical Requirements /
Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds in order to process boxed or bagged coins.
