About the Role
As a Department Supervisor, you are responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan that delivers the best customer experience in the department and overall store. The role requires adherence to legal requirements, H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
A Day in the LifeCustomer Sales & Profit
- You support the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines.
- You represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
- You identify the department’s strengths, commercial opportunities, and work with the Department Manager to act on them.
- You ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team actively promotes and sells products.
- You promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
- You maintain correct routines in fitting rooms and checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- You manage all administrative routines for people and operations correctly.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- You keep up‑to‑date with fashion trends, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers.
- You ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.
Team & Development
- You retain and share knowledge and skills with the store team.
- You collaborate, plan, and work with the in‑store Visual Merchandiser team.
- You give and receive feedback with colleagues to learn, develop, and support each other.
- You communicate regularly with store colleagues to inform, motivate, and inspire—daily or weekly meetings.
- You ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed throughout the store.
Retail Operations/ Visual & Commercial Execution
- You secure a clean and tidy sales floor and back‑of‑house, including stockroom areas.
- You maintain high fashion quality, visual, and commercial product presentation with good garment care.
- You secure good stock levels and provide input on allocation to the Area team.
- You ensure the full garment cycle—from delivery to presentation—and fitting‑room routines meet internal standards and use provided tools and technology.
- You maintain best practice for any in‑store OMNI services and tech services/tools.
- You maintain price signs and consistency across the store following global and local strategies.
- You update and upkeep BOH areas for all colleagues (key information, health & safety, tidiness).
- You are responsible for opening and closing the store daily.
- You are an emerging leader who enjoys taking responsibility.
- You are ambitious, an effective communicator, supportive, and an analytical solution‑finder capable of working with numbers and managing statistics.
- You are achievement‑oriented, motivated by performance and competition, and truly customer‑centric.
Expected base salary range: $17.05–$19.86 per hour.
