About the RoleAs a Security Officer
- Government Patrol in Ridgeland, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries including government. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and professional conduct. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site.

Pay Rate: $18.25 per Hour
Schedule- Wednesday: 06:45 AM - 07:00 PM
- Friday: 06:45 AM - 07:00 PM
- Saturday: 06:45 AM - 07:00 PM
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
- Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.
- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and following site‑specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Assist in maintaining order and help deter unauthorized activities within the government location by staying alert and attentive.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills while adhering to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to monitor for unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
- Document observations and report any incidents or suspicious behaviors to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and client personnel to support a secure environment within the assigned location.
- Availability across various days and shifts.
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.
- Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available.
- At least one year of experience in armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicant will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicant will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
