Overview

Glen/Ridge Elementary School is seeking dedicated Part-Time ABA Paraprofessionals for the  academic year. This role supports students with autism in a dynamic educational setting. You will work closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs), utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to foster a positive learning environment.   5 days a week, 5.75 hours per day (Total: 28.75 hours/week)

• General Education or Special Education Paraprofessional: $21,215.00 per year
• ABA Non-Certified Paraprofessional: $24,455.00 per year
• ABA Certified Paraprofessional: $28,257.00 per year

The staff member must maintain a physical presentation that does not pose a hazard during student interactions or physical interventions. This includes a requirement that jewelry, piercings, or clothing accessories be minimized or secured in a manner that prevents them from being grabbed, caught, or causing injury during the performance of essential duties. • Experience working with children ages 3 to 21 years old with diverse learning, communication, and behavioral needs.
• Capable and willing to assist students' physical needs, personal care and daily living activities, as needed.
• Ability to implement strategies to support positive student behavior and foster engagement.
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including classroom teachers, Child Study Team, BCBA, and related service providers.
• Experience supporting students in an ABA or similar structured learning environment is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to maintaining a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
• Must meet criminal background check.
